Ickenham Cricket Club launched its Academy in the Summer of 2020. This is an ongoing initiative set up by a group of our senior cricketers that offers specialist coaching to club members and cricket-based summer camps to children in the local community. Ickenham’s Academy has gone from strength to strength which has resulted in Junior cricketers breaking into the Senior teams and strengthening the club’s performances.

The Academy primarily focuses on developing the technical skills of a player and the coaches will work with the players to improve their overall cricketing ability. As a part of the Academy, we also offer Summer Camps which allow all cricketers to take part in cricket based activities. They are based during the school holidays and are targeted to younger children to introduce them to cricket and develop an enjoyment for the game.

As the Academy focuses on developing cricketing ability and during the session we offer:

• 1 to 1 coaching opportunities 

• Grass wicket experience 

• Net sessions 

• Classroom sessions to develop further cricketing knowledge 

• Weekly competitions
